Bilingual Education is important to me. Bilingual education classes are taught in two languages. The first language is my native language that is Chinese and the second language is my target language, which is English. In Bilingual classes, the teachers talk in two languages. The teachers explain every concept and vocabulary in Chinese that we do not understand in English.

Bilingual Education is important to me because it helps me improve my Chinese and English skills. Bilingual Education helps me to maintain and improve my native language. In Science and History classes, the teachers teach us in two languages, which helps us to improve our English and Chinese and increases learning in these academic areas. Bilingual Education helps me to learn English faster and easier with the help of Chinese translations. In Bilingual Education, I could learn two languages. Then, I could watch Chinese and American movies, I could communicate with the Chinese and Americans, I could read Chinese and American books. In addition, I could go on Chinese and American websites on Internet. Bilingual Education helps me to get a good relationship with the Chinese and Americans. Sometimes when there is a parent-teacher conference, I could help some Chinese parents to translate into English and tell the teachers. Also, sometimes when there is mail or letters from the bank, telephone company, or other places in English, I could translate it into Chinese and tell my parents what the letters are about.

Bilingual Education is also important to my future. Because when I know two languages, I’ll have a better opportunity to get a job. If I work at a company that trades with a Chinese company, perhaps this company would send me to talk and discuss business between these two companies. Also, If I work at a company whose target market is in China, perhaps this company would send me back to China and make business in China. Because I know two languages, I’m a bilingual education student.

Bilingual Education is important to me now and for my future. If I didn’t have bilingual education, I don’t think I would have such a great accomplishment in my English right now. Without bilingual education, I don’t think I could speak, read, write and listen as well as right now. Bilingual Education has helped me to improve my speaking, reading, writing and listening in Chinese and English. Also, I would like to continue my bilingual education.
